Technical Features & Benefits
-
Power Drill Integration: The 1/4″ hex shank enables direct attachment to electric drills and impact drivers, significantly reducing manual effort compared to traditional die stocks.
-
Dual-Function Threading: Cuts clean male external threads on pipe ends and female internal threads inside fittings using a single tool head.
-
High-Strength Steel Construction: Machined from heat-treated alloy steel to maintain cutting edge sharpness, resist thermal distortion, and prevent thread stripping.
-
Leak-Proof Thread Profiles: Cuts clean, standardized threads to ensure tight, leak-free mechanical connections and solvent welds.
-
Compact Thread Restoration: Re-cuts sheared, stripped, or clogged plastic pipe threads without requiring pipe section replacement.
Material & Trade Applications
-
Plumbing & Water Supply: Threading 1/2″ and 3/4″ PPR and PVC cold/hot water distribution lines during rough-ins and repairs.
-
Irrigation Systems: Setting up threaded connections on PE and PVC agricultural and garden supply hoses.
-
On-Site Pipe Maintenance: Rapidly repairing cross-threaded or damaged plastic fittings without removing installed pipe runs.
Operating Instructions
-
Insert the hex shank securely into your drill chuck or quick-release driver.
-
Set the power drill to low speed and select forward rotation for right-hand threads.
-
Align the tool straight with the pipe axis to prevent cross-threading.
-
Apply firm, steady axial pressure while driving the pipe threading tool into or over the pipe end.
-
Reverse the drill direction to back the tool off once thread depth is achieved.
